The Australis School of Astrology is the culmination of two decades of close study and practice in the divinatory arts by founder and tutor Joshua Hancock.
Despite an enormous public interest, quality education and tutelage of astrology remains extremely limited. Many people who are seeking to learn more about astrology and how to integrate the celestial arts into their lives to help give context to their experiences and inform their decision-making are often unsure of where to start.
The Australis School seeks to fill that gap by creating positive, well-rounded (and somewhat magical) educational experiences.
The school endeavours to provide a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary curriculum which enables and encourages students to explore a diverse range of astrological applications and traditions.
The school recognises a broad range of applications and techniques and an even broader range of philosophies, traditions and approaches which inform their application in individual practice. We aim to teach as objectively as is practicable in order to teach the tenets of each tradition based on its strengths while encouraging diversity of thought.
We advocate for astrology being practiced as an art and not a science. In that pursuit, our courses are designed to encourage the development of each student's personal philosophy and their informed discernment in practice.
We aim to give our students the knowledge that will enable them to practice with a high degree of proficiency and are committed to the development of material that will aid them in their ongoing exploration of this most profound practice.
